Looking For Computer Training? Are you a Returning Citizen? We Can Help!! We Have FREE Computer Training!!!!!

The Mayor’s Office on Returning Citizen Affairs (ORCA) is partnering with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), the University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC), and the District of Columbia Public Library (DCPL) to provide technology assistance to District returning residents.
A brand new Digital Inclusion Center at the UDC-CC Shadd Campus includes a computer lab with 20 refurbished computers, access to high-speed broadband Internet service, a comprehensive training curriculum, and dedicated staff. This initiative is being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) as a part of the DC Broadband Education, Training and Adoption (DC-BETA) project. Successful students may also choose to pursue additional training at UDC-CC to enhance their technical skills.
ORCA is helping citizens of the District of Columbia further their skills in computer’s to assist them with employment. Upon completion of this program the students will have the skills to operate Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010. With these skills they will be skilled as entry level Admin Assistants.
